long and though but nice
I climbed this route with a friend on a beautiful autumn day. Great treecolors in de valley, nice snow on the summit and klettersteig. The glacier was a bit icy so we fortunately didn't bring our crampons and ice axe for nothing. It was a long day from hammersbach to the summit. The klettersteig was sometimes covered under the snow which created some tricky parts. We summited just before sunset and slept on the platt. We had the route and the summit for our selves! We stood up quite early to watch sunrise from the summit. Magnificient views. The route down to Ehrwald/Eibsee was also beautiful, but early in the morning with some icy parts.

after many years of thinking about. Truly great, even with very modest weather conditions - but long!!!

A beautiful route
The day before, I had arrived in Munich on the night train and subsequently made my way to the Höllentalanger Hütte. Early next morning, the hut emptied quickly, as many groups left for the summit. I started on the late side, but passed a lot of them on the glacier, because I wanted to be ahead of the crowds on the klettersteig.
Climbed somewhere in the 1990s to access the Juilaeums Ridge. Bivied on the Jubilaeums Ridge, of course.

Hell Valley
I really enjoyed this route. The weather cooperated for once on this trip and it was a beautiful, fun climb. Seeing all the tourists on the summit was a shock but then after some liter beers I didn't care.

Imposing wayClimbed in summer 2003, very god weather but on top it was cloudy. The way through the Höllental is very impressing

AscentWonderful way up the Zugspitze. Been up twice this way and loved it each time, even in the fog on the glacier :)
