to the Stahlhaus - Jägerkreuz - Hohes Brett summit, on a sunny day after five day of rainy weather. Some snow on the summit, great views of Watzmann and other peaks.

Traverse from Hoher Göll to Stahlhaus
I made a fine 2 1/2-day-trip starting at Berchtesgaden and ascending to Purtschellerhaus. The next day I went over Hoher Göll and Brettriedel, crossing also Hohes Brett, and were sleeping at the Stahlhaus. The last day I made the so called "Kleine Reib'n", the circuit from Stahlhaus over Schneibstein to Berchtesgaden.
Very very very satisfying!!!!!!!!!!!

Hohes Brett in September
This is probably the fifth time I've been on the summit of Hohes Brett, coming from the Jenner and returning back the same way. Twice I did this summit in context with the hike to the Hoher Göll; in 1992 I did the "horseshoe" trail Kehlsteinhaus-Mannlgrat-Hoher Göll-Hohes Brett-Jennerbahn top station. This year's September 12th was one of the very rare really beautiful days in Austria this year!
