| to the Stahlhaus - Jägerkreuz - Hohes Brett summit, on a sunny day after five day of rainy weather. Some snow on the summit, great views of Watzmann and other peaks. | |

| I made a fine 2 1/2-day-trip starting at Berchtesgaden and ascending to Purtschellerhaus. The next day I went over Hoher Göll and Brettriedel, crossing also Hohes Brett, and were sleeping at the Stahlhaus. The last day I made the so called "Kleine Reib'n", the circuit from Stahlhaus over Schneibstein to Berchtesgaden. Very very very satisfying!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| This is probably the fifth time I've been on the summit of Hohes Brett, coming from the Jenner and returning back the same way. Twice I did this summit in context with the hike to the Hoher Göll; in 1992 I did the "horseshoe" trail Kehlsteinhaus-Mannlgrat-Hoher Göll-Hohes Brett-Jennerbahn top station. This year's September 12th was one of the very rare really beautiful days in Austria this year! | |
