From Adobe Canyon Road  Sucess!

The scenic approach more than makes up for the lack of views on top- especially if one takes the side trip to Gunsight Rock.

Goodspeed Trail  Sucess!

Hiked Hood Mtn and Gunsight Rock after hitting Bald and Red Mtns earlier in the morning. Disappointing view from the summit... Bald Mtn was significantly better.

Johnson Ridge  Sucess!

With the vast majority of the route under a canopy of vegetation, popping out at the top took me by surprise. I enjoyed the monument that referenced some of the history of the mountain and the views to be gained from standing on the tiny pinnacle behind the monument.

A lot of times!

This is my main stay conditioning hike. Have done it at a minimum 30 times last year alone. A favorite is to start on the Goodspeed train, go up and over to the Pythian trailhead then back. Done with a heavy pack and I was set for Denali and Aconcagua. GPS here:http://connect.garmin.com/activity/59424558
