Question, please ...This seems to have a mysterious and enigmatic
quality, one that I cannot completely understand ...
What am I looking at? Is that snow or sand?
Where's the trees? Did they get covered up
by the snow ???

Re: Question, please ...It's snow and there are no trees up there. White balance went crazy so the colours are quite far from true, just take a look at the sky.
There's a man standing near a small hut covered by snow in the lower right corner of the picture, maybe it helps you to understand the scale.
