| September 1990, on a trip to Czarnohora and Gorgany. Grotty weather throughout the trip, we still climbed Hoverla and Pietros however. It was the time of the collapse of USSR and Ukraine's regained independence, on the way back to Poland we stopped in Lviv and watched the dismantling of Lenin's monument. | |

| Great final of a 3-day solo Chornohora Range traverse, started from Dzembronia village with bivouacs under Smotrec Peak and upon Niesamovite Lake ,wonderful adventure, unfortunately I was a few moments late to catch clear summit panorama from Hoverla, descent to Kozmeschyk Base in Lazeschyna Valley . | |
