Fatigue personified. Mile 39, hour 39 of our Olympus climb. Shirley and Andrew resting at the Five Mile Camp on the way down after a successful climb of Mt. Olympus. Decision was made to bivy just 5 miles shy of the trailhead (July 4th weekend 2003).

Suffering

Radek,

Great shot, it really captures the pain. Thanks again for the SEWS beta, we had a great climb. We finished so early that we headed to Leavenworth to climb more granite.

Re: Suffering

Thanks Jason. The photo definitely brings back the pain - we were all pretty messed up.

Glad you enjoyed your climb of SEWS & congratulations. So did you get to lead some of it? We were hoping to get out there this weekend (wanted to try Concord and Lex.) but given the uncertain weather forecast we probably won't. You climbing anything this weekend?

Re: Suffering

Mmmmm. Can you say "deathmarch"? :- ) Makes our trip to The Brothers seem like a walk in the park, eh Radek?

Re: Suffering

I lead the second pitch and third pitch. It was great, I can't wait to go back to that area. I'm heading to Smith Rock tonight for the weekend. Not exactly sure what we are going to climb, but at least the weather looks good. Good luck with your weather.
