Good memories.

I took a similar picture of Huayna Potosi on May 1, 1958. This peak is the easiest way to reach twenty thousand feet in the world. It was much less frequented fifty years ago. There were no organized climbing companies back then and the Club Andino Boliviano was the only means of access to this magnificent peak.

Re: Good memories.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, this is a nice entry to high altitude. It was a good preparation for climbing Illimani, too. I saw the nice view to Illimani from Huayna Potosi in your gallery ;) Best regards, Herbert
