| Last day of good weather before the rain; perfect temps and a little wind. No one on the trail besides my party and a swarm of wasps (I was last in line and got four stings). The views from the top were amazing. My first time up, my buddies' umpteenth; now I know why they keep coming back. | |

| Most everything was snow but I remember some thick little trees for a section. | |

| The first half of this peak was a challenge involving a thick bushwhack through many small trees and branches and I was sinking in to my knees in some spots. I had no idea where the trail would be without snow so I stayed on the northwest ridge. About half way up the trees narrowed out and I got to making some good time. The snow climb at the end turned out to be pretty steep and since I was going solo I had to self-belay with my axe up and down. | |
