Date Climbed: Jun 21, 2006

Trial was little muddy and medw the upper part of the Becker Hollow Trail a bit tricky. Clear day with great vews. Temps in the mid 70's on top and slight wind from the north.

dludersRoute Climbed: Devil's Path (west to east, from Spruceton Road) Date Climbed: August 1984  Sucess!

dluders

Fairly straightforward hike along an old roadbed. Views to the north were good, but the fire tower on the summit was closed off. The trail down into Stony Clove and the Devils' Tombstone area was delightful.

woodstriderRoute Climbed: Devils Path from Spruceton Rd. Date Climbed: 8/19/95 and 12/21/96  Sucess!

Summer hike was hot and humid and I had a cold. I walked down the ski runs on the north flank of the mountain and enjoyed a beer in the town of Hunter as it was Octoberfest.

climber46Route Climbed: Rusk Mtn bushwhack and then Spruceton Trail Date Climbed: Sept 20, 2002  Sucess!

climber46

The bushwhack to Rusk was awful. I never want to go there again. I was so exhausted I barely made it up the easy road to Hunter's summit.

sajegoRoute Climbed: Chair lift route :) Date Climbed: October 18, 2003  Sucess!

We were a week too late to catch the best fall leaves. The chair life combination hike is a great way to introduce new people to hiking... especially when they're from NJ and never climbed anything in their lives. The fire tower is an added bonus.

Fun hike and an interesting, beautiful contrast to being there in January 2002.

See Chrostoph Wolz's summit log entry for same day.

christoph wolzRoute Climbed: Don´t ask me! Is there a name for this route? Date Climbed: 7/13/2002  Sucess!

christoph wolz

Drazil and I parked the car at the base terminal of the ski lifts and followed one of the ski runs nearly straight up, then along the ridge to the outlook tower and in a long descent down to the road (RT 214) near Devil´s Tombstone Campground, then approx. 4 miles along the road back to Hunter. Great view from the top of the outlook tower!
