Brief History

The chalet was built in 1934 and the original name was Guhr's chalet. In 1936 the chalet was rebuilt and after World War II. a new tourist hostel was annexed. Since 1946 it has been called after Pavol Bilik (1916 - 1944) the inspector of the financial guard in Horny Smokovec, a participant in The Slovak National Uprising, executed by fascists in Kezmarok.
