Free Fall Flow, River Flow

Free Fall Flow, River Flow
Yeah I'm free - free fallin'...

One of the many basaltic buttes along AZ's wild and scenic Verde River; this one's about 1/4-mile downstream of the Gap Creek confluence.

Here, the water drops at an average rate of 20 feet per mile.

You may as well leave your cellular phone in the car, because it will be
totally useless here.

Amphibian and landlubber animals are plentiful, and rattlesnakes seem to
love this place, so be careful where you step and place your hands.

Thank you for your cooperation. : ))

You're way too kind.

I'd like to thank myself for eating too much. Naturally, I needed a place to recover, as my cares dropped off and did a
free fall down-river.

Thanks Kathy, I've been very lucky.

I was considering attaching a link to
"The Doors", but who remembers Jim
Morrison and the Doors ???

Anyway, it was fun watching the cattails
dance in the wind, and the leaves falling
off the trees.

The "red" is most certainly out there, but
it needed a vacation (for a few days) while
all the remaining turkeys got together and
had a discussion on how they could bring
their numbers back to "pre-Thanksgiving"
levels.

In the meantime, "The Home Depot" is definitely ... in the RED !!! : )))

Yep, thank you kindly and I reckon you're correct.

Apparently, it was not "POTD" material. What
it lacks is a "gale force" wind blowing the
cattails into the river.

People love excitement, I reckon.

I have to admit I was surprised to see that pic of me on San Jacinto as POTD. It was a rather cheap snapshot. I guess what sold it was "excitement"!
Yours here is a much more worthy candidate.

What's that? Did you say something?

I must have dozed off. I was looking at my
picture, and started to get the "yawns."

The only 'excitement' going on in my picture is a dragonfly having a bad day.

Thanks anyway, hombre !!! : ))
