lizard you have here. Greetings from AZ! Boy,
is it storming outside. No complaints.

Did you happen to see my FIREWEED photo??? Just wondering, who is the botany expert on this site? I was JUST wondering what the name of it was. Do you have a flowering plant called FIREWEED in Colorado? Thank you so much and God bless!

Thank you. It's hard to believe we have such a colorful lizzard in Colorado, and I hadn't seen them before last summer.

I did see your fireweed shot. I really am not the botanist, though I love to photograph plants and flowers. I do believe we have something similar in Colorado but I couldn't tell you for sure.

Blessings 2 U! :o)

I asked a Sp member living in Alaska, if they might know. Had some frost on my windshield this morning. Can you just IMAGINE what the temperature and weather conditions were LIKE ... in ALASKA? Blessings and take care. | : > )

Yes, we had frost on our windshields this morning also. But we are on the western slope of Colorado, and it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day in the 40s. I'm sure Alaska was a little cooler than that! :o)

lcarreauInteresting fact ...

Collared lizards can rise up and run
on their hind legs, which allows them to
run faster. Coupling speed with large heads
and powerful jaws makes them formidable
predators on smaller lizards, which they
will consume without mercy!

Thanks for the info. I knew they could run on their hind legs, we actually saw a few of them do that. But I had no idea they had such powerful jaws and ate smaller lizards. ummmmm! :-p
