Ice Traverse Belay
Michael using screws to set up a belay to cross an ice flow. We encountered this ice above the top of the coulior on the Mountaineers Route. Photographed at 14,000 feet, December 10th, 2011.

the ice was still there now?! My friend and I dayhiked East Face (couple of month ago) and had to descend down this crap without crampons/axe..so we down-climbed the rock buttress on the side..

Yes, still there. We climbing the rock buttress on the way up but didn't want to face it on the way down.
