Isn't this another effect?

Hi Diego, isn't this Halo phenomenon? Do we look towards the sun or is the sun behind your back? If this is the view towards the sun, this may be Halo phenomenon. Anyhow, nice photo of that phenomenon! Cheers Tomas :)

Re: Isn't this another effect?

The sun was behind those rocks so the pic was taken towards the sun. Is the Halo phenomenon then?

Thanks Tomas

This may be a corona. Halo is appearing also when looking towards the sun, but is in some distance from the sun. Check this. Maybe we could build the album "optical phenomenons". Cheers Tomas :)

Re: Isn't this another effect?

Tomas, the sun was behind the rocks but high, near the skyline. It could be an icebow because the wind blew the little ice and snow crystals making it possible. The temperature was in the negative Celsius but near zero.
