If you are hiking up the Lassen Peak Trail (SE Ridge) and are looking for a good ski descent through the left-hand chute of the South Face trail, look for this snow formation below you at about 9230 feet. On June 9, 2002 it was some miserable class 2 down to the snow where you have a nice ski down to the trailhead.
