The purple color shows where we scrambled, starting towards the Lavender Col between Kismet and Sneffels, and then going up the western slopes of Kismet. Neither of us (me, my boss Dr. Tom Wiard, and Michael Covington) bothered to bring a map or study the route, so when we finally figured out which couloir would take us to the top, we had to leave. We had a wedding to attend to in Montrose. I can't wait to come there in the winter and skin it up. I don't want to play in that loose scree again.
