I know it is a bit off-topic,...
I know it is a bit off-topic, but by hiking on the moraine slope below "Rifugio Alpini" I saw my first Edelweiss (lat. leontopodium alpinum). I don't know if the americans know this flower but in Europe it's quite popular but also very seldom (July 14, 2002)

Hollywood movie "The Sound of Music"
starring Christopher Plummber and
Julie Andrews. It is a classic.
