Pikes Peak from just below... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Pikes Peak from just below...
Pikes Peak from just below the summit on the southwest slopes of Mt. Garfield with Tuckaway Mountain in the foreground. The saddle to the left of Tuckaway Mountain full of aspen is the head of the upper Bear Creek Valley. Behind Tuckaway Mountain on the left is Lake Moraine, the only natural lake on Pikes Peak. Access to Lake Moraine is blocked by a City Utilities gate just beyond the saddle left of Tuckaway Mountain.

Voted 10/10

Chris,

This is a great shot of Tuckaway, and I enjoyed the description. Do you mind if I link to this photo on the Tuckaway page?

Thanks,

Mike

Feel free to link to this photo. I hoped to have less cloud coverage but a storm was moving in that chased me off Mt. Garfield that day.
