| wildwood | Etna in February | | Hasn't voted | The information provided was great and the crampon tip proved invaluable to me as my partner slid down the final crater 2 times before victory. The minus 20 degree temp was not a problem and the hike which we started before dawn was great. The cable cars were available. and there were a few skiiers. Hasn't voted | normally in winter Etna is covered by a good snow coating so that ski-mountaneering ascension is really a fine trip, but sometimes its eruptions don't allow it :) | | Posted Dec 23, 2006 12:53 pm |
