A typical view to the east...
A typical view to the east from the slopes or ridges above Miners Canyon --- well, maybe the rainclouds aren't typical.... but the Bonneville Salt Flats stretching for a hundred miles across Utah is. June 08, 2005

Scotty, that is a nice shot of the Silvers, with Graham Peak, the one on the left being the highpoint. I was chased out of there this in early May by an advancing rainstorm since the roads out there become impassable with rain. I was hoping to climb both Graham Peak and Pilot but the weather turned on me.

Silver Island? Yeah, pretty cool. Too bad you didn't get to climb.

The weather in this pic sure looks like it was getting kind of ugly. Makes for a nice dramatic shot though.

Silver Island Mountains not Silver Mtns. For those reading this, the Bonneville Speedway is just to the southeast of them. Wendover would be out of sight to the right of this pic.

It tried to snow a little, but never got bad. I got a full site sampled, and climbed up to the crest, allowing me see a large cell bombarding the Pequap Range a couple valleys away.
