This is the Rio Quemado Basin you will be hiking through if you are using the Rio Quemado Trailhead (Western) approach to the Truchas Peaks. The pyramid shaped peak in the right of the photo is Pt. 12,696. This route is only recommended if you are not concerned about car vandalism at the trailhead.
