From the ridge you get a great view of the southeast side of the summit pinnacles.

Hasn't voted | Nah, nothing epic really happened. It just took a long time due to the large group, more snow cover, more rope use, and the large group. Then stupid things like Justin's rope turning into a twisted mess from using the mountaineer's coil, then getting the ropes stuck after rapping (thanks to the twists). A weather system moved in during the afternoon, which prevented the snow from becoming too soft on the way down. | | Posted Jun 29, 2005 12:58 am |

Hasn't voted | Man, if that was the snow NOT being soft, I'd hate to see it if it was! Justin told me he did take a leader fall on the traverse back (remember when we thought we heard him yell falling while we were waiting on that ridge?). I also watched him fall hipdeep into the moat trying to set that anchor. I slipped through my step a couple times as well. I can't imagine what it would have been like had it stayed sunny. :- P Then again, it always could have been worse................. we got to summit and have a few laughs as well. | | Posted Jun 29, 2005 2:28 am |

Hasn't voted | Wow, I was only one behind you on the traverse back and it felt totally secure to me. The steps shouldn't have been much more solid. Now as for the pickets, they were another matter... | | Posted Jun 29, 2005 8:12 pm |

Hasn't voted | Looks like it. The route sort of makes you visit that nice little spot. Glad you were able to get up there and do that nice chosspile. :- )
