la plata was a great hike, one of my favorites thus far. however the decent about killed me, someone once said that "going down is easy, but it is harder". my poor feet will never be the same.

What is the name of the valley with the road in the top photo? Is it Lake Creek?

that isn't a road in that picture, that is the trail maybe about half way up the mountain.
