Square Top's east ridge can appear intimidating from the Lamphier Lake basin. If you want to scramble the east ridge, you head to Gunsight Pass, just to the right of frame. If you want to avoid the scrambling, you can aim for the notch, the low point of the ridge left of center in this shot. May 27, 2005
