A very clear morning with deep blue skies. The night before a raging rainstorm blasted the area. Many times it's like that in the high Karakorams - very fast changing and unstable weather.

Yes, it really is THE mountain. Coming around the corner on the glacier and then...K2 is right there!

It's breathtaking!

Thanks for the nice words.

I was lucky there. One of the few days of good weather I had during the journey. Not long after this photo was taken, bad weather rolled in at high speed.
