Thanks. It's a unique perspective alright. Few people cross the Renjo La - where the shot was taken from - and, therefore, miss this aspect of the whole Everest massif.

The photo was originally posted during the SP v.1 era when we were limited in image size. The expandable full size shot would be even more representative of the scale. Then you could see the buildings at Gokyo below and get an idea of the vastness of scale.

Seeing the view from the Renjo is, without doubt, one of THE highlights of my time in the mountains. Definitely not a day trip though!
