I don't know whether it's the light, the clouds, or the mystique of the place, but I find this picture very evocative. Too bad for the lens flare left of center. Have you tried red-eye reduction techniques to get rid of it? It's a great picture anyway, and congratulations for your ascent of one of the great classic routes.

I have read quite a lot about the Eiger Nordwand. I think about this climb of yours with a great esteem! Honestly! Even to imagine an occasional bad situation up there far from any kind of help...huh man...scary!
In august 2006 we met a few dudes on the tracks under the North Face, and they talked about some Nordwand climbers they had just seen. They said to be people carved of granite!!!
Very impressive description. :) And can be easily.
