U-notch couloir conditions as of 24 September, 2005- as is obvious, much of route (i.e. alpine ice) under snow, but still much good ice available to climb. Bergschrund didn't appear too difficult to get by.

Anyway, I always enjoy your work, and envy your ability to climb these incredible mountains. Hasn't voted | Thanks, Allan. It was nice running into you in the Sierra. Nice weather that day! Hope your trip went well. We had a good time on the Challenge. While it's too bad you can't be as active as you used to be, the important thing, I'd say, is that you're still able to get into the high country at least once or twice a year- I know many who are totally unfamiliar w/ the Sierra- their loss!
