Day Hiker downclimbing the short class 4+ section in the chute adjacent to the ramp between the col and Employee Cyn. The holds are good but awkward. The climbing is steep but easy.

Voted 10/10 | Glad you didn't buy the farm. I took a fall on a peak in Utah in early September that made me realize my mortality. It was also class 4. | | Posted Oct 18, 2005 11:49 am |

Hasn't voted | That kind of thing will wake you up. This near-fall was on the steep upper portion of the slickrock ramp. About 200 feet of exposure, I lost my footing and started to slide - I quickly grabbed a nearby bit of vegetation (a small bush) and stopped myself. I then backtracked to Mike, who'd found the chute in the photo above, and sighed with relief. | | Posted Oct 18, 2005 11:52 am |
