Seal Rock (center) and the Goose (left) are the two prominent flatirons on the Nebel Horn. Bear Peak, the taller parent of most of the southern flatirons rises farther left. The main east-face route on the Seal follows the right-hand edge of the rock from the lowest point to the 'elbow'. From there, it follows a wonderful hand crack up the middle of the upper face through the 'eye' of the Seal. The exciting rappel goes down the shadowed north side off the tip of the Seal's nose.
