Voted 10/10 | Jeez Dow, photo of the week in the Canadian Rockies, now you're in Moab. What the hell do you do for a living? You should be a photographer as far as I'm concerned. I'm busy cramming for finals, dreaming of the mountains, catching the odd boulder problem on school buildings (hey, in a pinch). Anyway nice photo, nice location etc. etc. etc. Keep workin' your magic

Hasn't voted | lol, good question Scotty....I have been there, done that...left home at 16, slept in a barn and worked as a cowboy to put my way through school for an Animal Science degree which was not all that useful...worked in a feed plant in East St. Louis, you name it...but eventually I started my own business and made enough to not worry about it anymore...most of my employees and biz associates thought I was crazy to walk away, but life is too short. I would much rather be climbing...so yes, being outdoors is all I do...in fact alpine skiing tomorrow...thanks for you compliments man. It is fun to organize and share my notes and photos. Hasn't voted | East St. Louis, eh? I lived in Belleville for a while growing up. I believe Klenke did too. Rough neighborhood there in ESL. Must've been happy to get out of there (although most of the St. Louis area is a great place).
Ever have a Ted Drewe's "Concrete"?

Hasn't voted | No on the concrete Brain (I was dirt poor with child in tow, so I am sure I could not afford one if it is a drink)...did find a dead person outside our fence one morning...lovely place, east St. Louis is...was quality control engineer at the Waynes Feed Mill (Continental Grain), way back in the mid 80's. Nothing thrilling about my stay there, except I was the only white guy out in the plant section...that was a learning experience for this farm boy...I lived out in Belleville, just worked in E St Louis...wanted to stay alive. Hasn't voted | I was in Belleville from age 2 to 7 (1969 to 1974) but I still remember our Holly Drive and Maryknoll Dr. addresses. Went to Abraham Lincoln Elementary. :- ) Good ol' Belleville. Wonder if they still have the big ketchup bottle water tower in Collinsville? I ended up hanging out in the St Louis area in the early 90's too. Dated a girl from West County and another from Granite City (Planet Granite).
Glad you made it out of ESL alive. Not a place for the squeamish, eh?
Ted Drewe's is an ice cream place in south St. Louis. The Concrete is the original Blizzard. They serve it to you upside down to prove how thick it is. Great place to go after Cardinal games!
