The class 3 way up Mount...
The class 3 way up Mount Muir. This picture was taken from a small pinnacle on the Whitney Ridge, and shows nicely the 80-100 vertical feet of class 3 climbing that is required to reach the summit of Mount Muir from the Whitney trail.

First I want to thank you for posting this route photo - I took it and your other shots with me on my last trip to the Whitney area when I climbed Muir. However, where your route line bends to the right midway up the face the climbing is far harder than going to the left. I think this more recent photo shows an easier route fairly clearly.

Cheers!
