Double Arches appeared graphically in The Incredible Hulk. They leapt to Pear Lake (Sequoia NP) from Arches, starting in San Francisco.

Have no recollection of this appearing in IJ III. Then, I wouldn't have known where it was, then.

Nice shot. There about two months ago. Nice to know about Elephant Butte, now.

Right at the beginning. Boy scout scene where they are in Arches NP on horses just before Indy and his cubby friend find the Cross of Coronado.

I remember that scene now, it was the third film. You are right about the effect on color that the weather has. The sun just makes that color JUMP right out at you. What an amazing place.

It is amazing how much the rock color changes when its cloudy vs sunny.

Click here for the exact same photo when its cloudy. Notice the color change.

Thanks Corey. I took this pic just a couple weeks before our Enchantment Traverse. It just doesn't seem like it was 6 months ago but time just zips. Hope all is well with you.

That arch is so effective - it looks as if it is burning.

A great photo - and again I am astounded by these shapes that the wind and the erosion carved out of the sandstone! This is the nearest thing to a human hand I have ever seen in nature!!

You would definitely love Arches National park in Utah. Incredible stuff everywhere. My personal favorite is Delicate Arch. I just look at that one in disbelief.
