Watching the sun rise from... [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Watching the sun rise from...
Watching the sun rise from the subsummit of Baldy Point. I had just finished reading The Inner Game of Outdoor Photography by Galen Rowell and saw that conditions were almost, but not quite, favorable for a diffraction fringe, and I almost, but not quite, got a diffraction fringe. I figure that that's pretty good return...

The large flat-topped mountain on the right is... Flat Top Mountain. The mountain namer's society of Oklahoma is filled with creative minds. The lower, rounded summit just to the right of the climber's elbow is Williams Peak, a page for which may come shortly after SPv2 arrives. Soldiers Peak is barely visible sticking up above Flat Top Mountain on the right, and King Mountain is the ridgeline leading out of the frame on the right.

I agree with the guys... the hat adds character and the contrast in the photos between subjects is great! :)
