Thanks David. I'm not sure 'lucky' is the right word. We'd spent an uncomfortable night on the concrete floor of the cablecar station after a retreat from the Midi-Plan in a storm. A beautiful dawn was our compensation!

WOW, fantastic! Lucky is the right word, I agree with David. With time ugly things don't bother you anymore while the beautiful ones remain for the rest of time. I can bet that now, when you look at this pic and remember that dawn, it really doesn't matter that you've spend that night at Midi station floor. Works for me that way at least. Maybe it is worth pointing that the highest peak in the panorama is Gran Paradiso (4061m).
