Man, this one is FANTASTIC. That's way more than the photo of the week in my book - it belongs on my wallpaper and my wall as well. Can we get a high-res version of it? My screen is 1280x1024 pixels, so 1280 on the long side would do! :-))

Glad you like the picture. That morning started out nice and clear, but just before the mountains were about to light up with alpenglow, clouds started moving in. I thought the morning would be a bust, but the clouds came in just slow enough to give me a few nice shots before covering everything up for the day.

After a little cropping for the screen and some shameless advertising, here's a link for a 1280x1024 wallpaper:

My cold feet may have disagreed about being there at the right time, but the rest of me is glad I was there for the early morning views :) Thanks for the compliment.

Typical beautiful photography. Nice work.

Just curious..... do you climb also or is photography your primary hobby and link to the mountains?

I've spent my time til now hiking around. The photography grew out of the hiking originally. I' ve not done any climbing to this point, although I'm looking forward to a climbing course that I've signed up to take in early summer, which hopefully is a good starting point :)

I'm glad you like the photos!
