Looking up the Huerfano River valley at Blanca. The direct east face is sunlit. The North face ascent/descent route lies in shadow at the low point in the saddle between Blanca and Ellingwood. It's upper section is diamond shaped and the gully arcs downward on it's northern , looker's right, flank.

Gash ridge runs down from Blanca's summit, leftmost ridge in this photo. The Huerfano River Valley is magnificent!
