The amazing 5.9 hand crack on the seventh pitch of The Black Orpheus. The hairy arm jammed into the crack is mine. Taking one-handed photos while free-soloing is a blast! Lens cap removal/replacement is an art.

Voted 10/10 | looking crack. How come you decided to free-solo instead of rope up? There are other pics for the route page where you guys use ropes right? Regardeless, awesome pic, awesome climb, and congrats.

Voted 10/10 | Looks truly splitter, but how come it's a .9? Looks sustained but like either solid lie-backing or jams. Lens cap removal/replacement? That's what point-&-shoots are for! Do you still climb? Some of us miss your free-solo registers/TRs. | | Posted Oct 26, 2007 4:08 pm |
