I remember sitting in that exact spot reading the book. And that little stumpy tree.

I don't come from Courtright Reservoir like you do though. I come up from the Dinky Lakes trailhead over to the North-West.

In 2003 I climbed to the top of the ridge. I didn't make it to the top. 2004 was the first year I made it to the top. I can't remember if I climbed it in 2005. In 2006 we couldn't even drive to the trailhead because of the snow. We walked from where we had to leave the car and didn't make it very far. My last trip was in June. Every time it is so amazing just to see that view. Unfortunately it was getting late and we were only day hiking so we had to leave. I could have stayed up there hours and hours just looking.
