If you don't know which of the piles of rocks is the true summmit, look for this silvery treasure chest. In it you'll find a log book and some other small things left by other climbers.

Hasn't voted | Banco de Chile gives a team of climbers $1000 if they take one of these boxes to the summit of a Chilean 6000er. There are rules, like limiting how many peaks a person can do, no soloing etc. Many of the peaks in Chile have been done, but not all. Hasn't voted | Yes, USD$1,000. There must be at least 2 (or 3?) in a team. Not sure if foreigners can do it, but maybe if you teamed up with a Chilean ? I know a strong pair who took a box high up a peak not too far from Santiago but could not summit in very bad weather and ended up losing the box !
