Maja Lagojvet
The peak on the right is Maja Lagojvet. One map gives the height of 2466m but a GPS measurement at the base of the wall in 2008 plus a watch altimeter measurement at the summit gave the altitude of about 2540m. We made the first ascent of it on 31 August 2009 via the right-hand side of the visible (north) face. The route tops just below the true summit, the apparently higher left-hand summit is in fact lower.

Hvala Rade!
pozdrav

Not surprisingly, the colours remind me of
a scene from Yosemite National Park,
even though this is probably "karst" and not
related to igneous intrusions, extrusions or
spherical erosion.

The lighting is not unlike that seen in the
'High Sierra' of California.

Thanks for dropping by, Larry! Yes that's karst limestone. The lightning in those mountains is indeed like at some of your pics, I just can't catch it with a camera properly :)
cheers

I can reveal (to you) two of my secrets:

Cloudy days and a good zoom lens.

True! That's why I wanted to climb this mountain for some time and we finally did it this summer. Thanks for dropping by :)
