Saddle Mound Fall [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Saddle Mound Fall
A view from the Jackson County, Wisconsin highpoint Saddle Mound 1400'. This beautiful mound is located in the heart of Wisconsin's whitetail deer population and is bordered with some colorful cranberry marshes in the Fall. A great place for a dayhike in October. Photo by K.Urban, Davenport, IA.

That fall view is the single most thing I miss about the east coast once i moved here to Colorado. I tell people that rush out to the high country to see the Aspen in the fall that back east we cut down trees that turn yellow (as opposed to red/orange)in the fall.

The colour orange ! We have whitetail in AZ,
but they stick mainly to the highest points.
If you have a chance, please check out Lockett
Meadows in Flagstaff in Fall.
