A reminder of more troubled times [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
A reminder of more troubled times
The site of the crashed 2nd world war Halifax bomber. This aircraft hit the the ridge during the later part of the war. Evidence of how unlucky the crew were can be seen in the form of the remnants of the aircraft wings which lie eleven hundred feet down the other side of the ridge. The poor soles had must have hit the very top of the ridge.I also belive that most of the crew were from the Canadian Royal Airforce.
