Yes it is. 200m. Not very difficult, but very funny to look down to the street.

Nice site by the way! Many photos, always good. I saw you're planning to climb Mont Blanc. Don't go up Gouter-route, its a humanly chain. Italian side is nice!

Yes, I know. But I read in a magazine about climbing from the station to Gouter-hut very slowly. Stay there for the afternoon and go to the top in the evening, arriving the summit by sunset and desending in the dark, arriving at Gouter-hut at 0100 when all the others starts and then you can lay down yourself in the empty, warm beds. This could be an alternative. My friend and SP-Member schmid_th did it from Cosmique via Tacul and Maudit. I will decide it next year, first I must find a rope-partner for this trip.

Doing the Gouter route in the evening => clever idea! But what if the weather is good for the whole week but there are thunderstorms every evening?

Than you have to stay in Gouter-hut and sleep in the kitchen. ;-)

To avoid Gouter would be the cleverest.
