This little lake was about 2/5 mile south of Contact Pass in California's Sierra Nevada. The trailhead is Glacier Lodge (west of town of Big Pine). We took the South Fork Trail of Big Pine Creek to Willow Lake and then went west cross-country to our emerald lake (good name for it now that I think of it).
Anita, I hope you've been able to get to the Sierra Nevada this year. Be safe.

Thanks. Apparently, it's the glacial silt that gives the water its unique color.

Voted 10/10

Nothing better at camp than a great swimming hole and that water looks as good as it gets. Great photo!
