different view of Delicate Arch. Do you
remember going up there about eight years
ago, and seeing where somebody had built
a fire immediately below the arch? Here
is the symbol of Utah on all the bill-
boards and travel posters, and somebody
decides to build a campfire beneath it!
I wonder if the Park Service ever got
it cleaned up. Great shot, Jim! PEACE.

No, I guess I didn't get there when the fire scar was there. But, it doesn't surprise me that some idiot would do that. As Mark Twain once observed, "If you want to comprehend the concept of infinite contemplate, for only a moment, the collective stupidity of man."

Regardless of opinion, it still remains an
awesome scene. Look at the way the winds of
time have "whittled away" at the sandstone!
