Hasn't voted | Dow-I'm curious-did this avalanche, given the steep angle of descent, make much noise? | | Posted May 7, 2006 8:38 pm |

Hasn't voted | tons, actually about 6 booming drops while I was leading one pitch....just kept coming, blowing ice cold snow on top of us, would go from warm to cold to warm as they would blow by us, etc. Not enough volume to reach the terrain trap below that we had ascended, but enough noise to get in your head space...I am adding the route in a bit and will try and sequence these photos, cheers | | Posted May 7, 2006 8:53 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Richard. You have to climb over a 1000' of WI 3 just to get to this curtain of WI 3- 6, going through a terrain trap that has claimed a few comrades. Keeps this stash fresh. Cheers. | | Posted Oct 27, 2006 3:51 pm |
