Impressive shot! It looks like a magnified planet (e.g. Mars) appearing over the horizon. What a contrast...

	Hasn't voted	Thank you toqian. I never thought about it, but yes, indeed it might look like that. It is simply caused by the lower half of the photo lying in the deep shadow of the Sella massif - I actually did my best to make it less dark, but couldn't do it. Perhaps that was for the best.
