Thank you Karrar,

The Sorkhab Peaks are quite beautiful but appear to be surrounded by walls or nasty talus fields.

View to take your breathaway. Thank you for capturing and sharing it Nader.
The flowers look like Lupines. Are they?
Lupines have a strong and pleasant aroma.

Thank you Marc

I don't know about lupines, but I think in Iran they call these "Gavan".

It's a milkwetch clearly, with very typical pea-like flowers consisiting of "banner, wing, and keel" as their petal shapes are known. There is an SP album just for those flowers.

And as far as I can tell "gavan" is Astragalus raddei.

Your Sorkhab is really a Red Valley indeed!

Thank you "Moskva"

I was never good in botany, will add the photo to the album you mentioned.

Sounds like you know Farsi. Yes, these peaks are quite red and very impressive. They look higher than what the map says they are, that could be an optical illusion but I doubt it.

Nah, just little insignificant shreds of language from the old times when the tallest peaks and the longest glaciers we could access were in Pamir Mountains.

One day the Farsi-speaking world may become an amazing travel attraction, not just for those who have strong roots there ... but alas the way the world changes, it isn't going to happen soon.

Knowing what sorkhab is, I would not call it insignificant shreds. You know Farsi a lot more than you think.
